Services / Private cloud hosting

Private cloud, built for maximum security.

Your business applications and data live in a SOC 3 audited datacenter, on hardware we own, protected at every layer and managed by a team you know. Your staff get secure access from anywhere, at one predictable monthly cost.

Why it matters

Work from anywhere, exactly like you work at the office.

Your accounting system, practice management software and file shares move out of the closet and into a secure datacenter. Your team signs in from the office, from home or from the road, and gets the same desktop, the same apps and the same data every time.

We have spent decades moving on-site servers into hosted environments, and we handle the whole move for you.

“Logging in from home is the identical experience of logging in from the office.”

Fred Payne, Principal, CFP®, on moving his firm’s servers to HoloSky Private Cloud

Private vs. public cloud

Why host privately instead of AWS or Azure?

Public cloud is built for software companies that need to scale on demand. Most small and mid-sized businesses need something different: their existing Windows applications running reliably, at a cost they can budget for, with someone accountable when something goes wrong.

HoloSky Private Cloud Public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google)
Monthly cost One fixed monthly price, sized to your workload. Easy to budget. Usage-based billing for compute, storage, bandwidth and backups. Bills change month to month.
Getting your data out No fees to access or move your own data. Data transfer (egress) fees whenever data leaves the cloud.
Who runs it HoloSky builds, patches, monitors and supports it. A local team that knows your setup. You, or a consultant you hire. Provider support is a ticket queue.
Existing Windows apps Run your current applications as they are. Microsoft licensing through our SPLA program, billed only for what you use. Often needs re-architecting, plus separate licensing to sort out.
Security and compliance SOC 3 audited datacenter, with controls configured by us for NIST, HIPAA and SOC requirements. Shared responsibility: the provider secures the platform, configuring controls is on you.
Backup and recovery Integrates with HoloSky image backups and disaster recovery, managed by the same team. Separate services to choose, configure and pay for.
Performance Capacity planned around your applications, on hardware we own and monitor. Shared multi-tenant hardware. Faster tiers cost extra.

When public cloud is the better fit, we’ll say so.

If you’re building software for thousands of users, need to scale up and down by the hour, or serve customers worldwide, a hyperscaler may be right. Many clients run a mix: Microsoft 365 in Microsoft’s cloud, line-of-business servers in ours. We’ll recommend what fits, not what we sell.

What’s included

A complete platform, not just a server.

A good fit if

You recognize your business here.

Aging servers on siteYour server closet is due for a costly refresh, or nobody wants to own it anymore.
Remote and hybrid teamsPeople work from home and on the road, and VPN workarounds are wearing thin.
Line-of-business softwareYou depend on Windows applications for accounting, ERP, practice management or design.
Compliance obligationsYou need to show auditors, clients or insurers that data is protected properly.

The move

From server closet to private cloud, without the disruption.

  1. 01AssessWe inventory your servers, applications, data and how people use them.
  2. 02Design and buildWe size and build your private cloud environment and test your applications on it.
  3. 03MigrateWe move servers and data after hours, so your team starts the next morning in the new environment.
  4. 04SupportWe stay with you through the first weeks, then manage it all ongoing.
